Ampalaya with Ground and Pork Chorizo

Ingridients:
  • 1 pc Ampalaya, thin sliced
  • 1/4 kl Ground Pork
  • 2 pcs Pork Chorizo, Mashed
  • 1/2 Carrot, thin sliced
  • 1 pc Bell Pepper, thin sliced
  • 1-2 tbsp. Oyster Sauce
  • Onion, minced
  • Garlic, minced
  • 1-3 tbsp. Fish Sauce / Patis
  • Soysauce
  • Salt
Procedure:
  • In a heat pan put the ground pork, then add 2-3 tbsp of water (let it evaporate)
  • Note: Gound pork has it's own oil, we will use that oil for our onion and garlic.
  • Saute the ground pork and let it's texture change to golden brown.
  • Add onion and garlic and then saute until turn to golden brown.
  • Follow by mash pork chorizo, and saute frequently.
  • Add 1-3 tbsp Fish sauce and ground black pepper, and saute to absorb the seasonings.
  • You can now add the Vegestables : Ampalaya, bell pepper and sliced carrot and mix them.
  • Add 1 tbsp of oyster sauce and saute.
  • You can also add 1-2 tbsp Soysauce for it's color mixture, and salt for your taste.
  • Cover it and simmer for 2-3 minutes, turn of fire after.
  • Now its ready to serve.

 How to cook Pork Nilaga

Ingredients:
  • 1 pc. Bell Pepper, Sliced
  • Spring Onion (Sibuyas dahon)
  • 1 pc. Lemon grass
  • Fish Sause (Patis)
  • 1 pc. Pork cube
  • 3 pcs Saba Banana, sliced
  • 1/4 Cabbage
  • 3 pcs Potatoes
  • Black pepperOnion
  • Salt
Preparation :
  • Heat the cooking oil, add the onion and saute.
  • Follow by 1/4 kl. Pork and Saute until pork turn to light.
  • Add the 1 tbsp. fish sauce "Patis" and 1 pcs Pork cube.
  • Frequently saute until Pork absorb the spices and let it's texture change.
  • Then add 3-5 cups of water, cover it and set your fire into medium and let it simmer for 20-30 minutes.
  • After simmering the pork (make sure to check if the pork tender), add the following : Saba Banana, Potatoes, Lemongrass, Bell pepper and ground black pepper. Simmer it again for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add salt for the taste and the Cabbage, simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Pork Nilaga / Nilagang Baboy (Boiled Pork in english) is now cooked and ready to serve.
  • For the final touch, springkle the spring onions.
